On the middle of the road.

The other stuff, that makes me think.

A lifetime of longing, hidden scars, so many tears unwept;
Disappointments and let downs, promises unkept.

As the wheel of life turns, we see more-remember some, forget some
As we grow and time gains a tense, we repeat some, neglect some.

A lifetime of grief, hurt and pain, closely guarded, overruled;
When we were left there standing, lonely and cold, used or fooled
Unfounded fears and apprehensions, ticking away, by habit

What matters in the end-how we lived or how we die?
Does anything ever cease to exist?

In the midst of all this lie unfulfilled expectations.

There were many things I could have done
There are many I still don’t do;
I remember some, I forget some
I try to, sometimes I don’t.

In the midst of all this lie unfulfilled expectations.

Did I lead to all them?
Did I unwittingly feed them?
Did I ever speak to them?
Your unfulfilled expectations?

There are things I can do and there are things I can’t do
There are things I want to and there are things I don’t want to
I’m sorry for all the things I haven’t done and all the times I haven’t come
I’m sorry for failing, not understanding, not trying some.

In the midst of all my sadness, guilt and repentance there lies unfulfilled expectations.

What to do about them?
Forget them or fulfill them?

Expect some, don’t expect some
Fulfill some yourself, wait for the rest…
For it is the divine who comes through in all wishes fulfilled
And expectations unfulfilled, give us moments where we can be aware of the divine within and the degree of separation, illusion and lessons needed.

Once expectations are fulfilled, they cease to remain expectations.
Maybe some expectations were not meant to be there in the first place…
I was always trying my best.

Norah Jones & her magic.

I listen to music, like all, not that I am a fanatic, but I keep in touch with who makes good songs, who tears clothes on screen, who is taken to court etc.
Now, if you are a fan of Norah Jones you would probably be delighted to read this blog.

I never really listened to her songs, just that I had listened to 2 songs – ‘Dont know why’ & ‘Come away with me’, when I was quite young, obviously I didnt like it, because I was more of in Rock or Pop or Rap at that point of time.

Recently, with the turbulent times that presents, working your ass out day in and day out and you have so many dreams that it, kinda, gets difficult to find time to relax, and listen to something so cherishing and so beautiful and so fresh like a beautiful unplucked rose, having morning dew on it and that smells so very good that you just want to be there for all the time. May be I am exaggerating it, but at this point .. thats what I feel..

Now, we know, there are different kind of people, some you like and some you dont,

When you listen to her songs, sometimes you are on a mountain top with a cloudy whether and someone special with you and that you are sitting on a stone and sharing the kind of moments that you cherish life long, the moments that you will always remember.

Listening to one of her songs ‘Lonestar’, she says -

“How far you are I just don’t know
The distance I’m willing to go
I pick up a stone that I cast to the sky
Hoping for some kind of sign”

I specifically like these lines.. it says even when I dont know that how far you are, I am still willing to go the distance, sometimes out of anguish – I even throw a stone towards the sky, to see if there can be any sign that I can see.
This goes so smooth like a 500 years old scotch moving down your throat, like a red velvet, that not only you can see but also you can feel and touch the beauty of it.

Stop Crying …. Oasis

Well, everyone of us would have somehow cried, sometime or the other, some reason or the other. Some of us cry a lot, some of us do not.

We know that we cry mostly at the time when we are hurt when we are in pain. We all know this.

Now, we are hurt or we are in pain mostly because of reasons, reasons which may or may not be in our control. This emotion of crying, most of the times, has to be appeased, for this, we need to have our friends/loved ones near to us, which many times donest happen.

Now, friends may or may not be our friends only, for eg. I have music as my friend.

I believe, music is something – that cant be taken away from you, it is at such a beautiful place, which is above the farthest and highest and most sacret part of the heaven.. it makes us human. Nobody can snatch it from you, not even death, it cant be lost, its just with us all the time, and when we have such a beautiful friend with us, it is difficult to give up.

I like watching movies, music etc. as you would like it. I have a O.K. taste if talking about music.

One of the songs which has kept me going most of the time is – Stop Crying your heart out. Now this song so beautifuly written that it can hold me for any problem I come across with…

The lyrics of the songs are:

Stop Crying Your Heart Out.. Oasis

Hold up
Hold on
Dont be scared
Youll never change whats been and gone
May your smile (may your smile)
Shine on (shine on)
Dont be scared (dont be scared)
Your destiny may keep you warm
Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
Youll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Get up (get up)
Come on (come on)
Whyre you scared? (Im not scared)
Youll never change
Whats been and gone
Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
Youll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
Youll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Were all of us stars
Were fading away
Just try not to worry
Youll see us some day
Just take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out

Hold up

Hold on

Dont be scared

Youll never change whats been and gone

May your smile (may your smile)

Shine on (shine on)

Dont be scared (dont be scared)

Your destiny may keep you warm

Cos all of the stars

Are fading away

Just try not to worry

Youll see them some day

Take what you need

And be on your way

And stop crying your heart out

Get up (get up)

Come on (come on)

Whyre you scared? (Im not scared)

Youll never change

Whats been and gone

Cos all of the stars

Are fading away

Just try not to worry

Youll see them some day

Take what you need

And be on your way

And stop crying your heart out

Cos all of the stars

Are fading away

Just try not to worry

Youll see them some day

Take what you need

And be on your way

And stop crying your heart out

Were all of us stars

Were fading away

Just try not to worry

Youll see us some day

Just take what you need

And be on your way

And stop crying your heart out

Stop crying your heart out

Stop crying your heart out
