I listen to music, like all, not that I am a fanatic, but I keep in touch with who makes good songs, who tears clothes on screen, who is taken to court etc.
Now, if you are a fan of Norah Jones you would probably be delighted to read this blog.
I never really listened to her songs, just that I had listened to 2 songs – ‘Dont know why’ & ‘Come away with me’, when I was quite young, obviously I didnt like it, because I was more of in Rock or Pop or Rap at that point of time.
Recently, with the turbulent times that presents, working your ass out day in and day out and you have so many dreams that it, kinda, gets difficult to find time to relax, and listen to something so cherishing and so beautiful and so fresh like a beautiful unplucked rose, having morning dew on it and that smells so very good that you just want to be there for all the time. May be I am exaggerating it, but at this point .. thats what I feel..
Now, we know, there are different kind of people, some you like and some you dont,
When you listen to her songs, sometimes you are on a mountain top with a cloudy whether and someone special with you and that you are sitting on a stone and sharing the kind of moments that you cherish life long, the moments that you will always remember.
Listening to one of her songs ‘Lonestar’, she says -
“How far you are I just don’t know
The distance I’m willing to go
I pick up a stone that I cast to the sky
Hoping for some kind of sign”
I specifically like these lines.. it says even when I dont know that how far you are, I am still willing to go the distance, sometimes out of anguish – I even throw a stone towards the sky, to see if there can be any sign that I can see.
This goes so smooth like a 500 years old scotch moving down your throat, like a red velvet, that not only you can see but also you can feel and touch the beauty of it.
